Little Man Aden.....

Oh my....where do begin. He is into EVERYTHING. He loves his bub (Marcus). Has to do everything he does, wants to be in his room with him. Loves to play outside! Loves to climb! Everything has to be thrown! He has to (scream) tell MOOOOMAAAAA everything! And right now he likes to hit. This week finally we are getting the hang of NOT hitting. He is intregued by everything and wants to check it out. He seems to get sick alot. Ear infections are like every 2 months or so. And stomach bugs seem to really jump on him. Just had one this week.
He is so fun. We just laugh and remember when the older kids did these silly things. Wishin it would last longer.
Very silly and busy little boy!

MR. Marcus

This will be the longest update for sure. He has grown and changed SO much in the last year. I had no idea it would just change practially over night. It was like he was our little boy and then BOOM he had something stuck in his throat, and turned all hairy, OH and stinky. Bout gave me a nervous breakdown. I was totally not ready for all this. Never felt like I had to be a grown up until now. It honestly feels like I was that age yesterday. Although the things he has and is going through is lots different than what I went through.
Football was awesome this year! his team won the championship. Then they played a tournament in which he played offense and defense. He absolutely LOVED it! The very last game, which was the championship game he got hurt. They thought he broke his arm. Turned out to only be some very deep bruising.
He lives for that stuff.
Of course played basketball right after. Frank helped coach. Marcus did good. This season was a little hard for him. He was by far the tallest kid and got lots of fouls called for pretty much just standing there. Definataly tought him some things. There were some kids on the team that was new to playing ball and that was hard for him. He still loves it! Got hurt during this sport as well. Got elbowed in the chin one game and got some broken teeth and a jaw out of place. We are still going to the dentist and ortho to get this fixed.
The latest is that we just found out this week that he is having seizures. Had an episode at school and no one knew what was going on. They called the EMS and all. We thought he had an anxiety attack and just couldn't fingure out why. Then it happened again.....at school right in front of his teacher. Scared her. So then the Dr. visists started and she immediately said she thought is was a seizure. So far we have had an EEG done and he started a new medicine. I am very unsure and scared about the medicine part. There is so much bad to go along with the good. We are scheduled to meet and talk with the neurologist this Friday and also have an MRI done. He will also be having a EKG done next week sometime.
This is very hard for him. He is VERY active and now can't even go to school. They have asked that he not come until we could have an idea of what was going on so they could know how to handle it. He can't do anything in the water for a while. Just lots of changes happening at once. It's been a major change for all of us.
He is growing WAY to fast for me. So ready to take on the world all by his self. I'm scared and praying for peace in my mind daily. I remember when he was younger I wanted him to not be shy and just go out and play.
I so wish he could just sit right here with me and play and that would be enough.

Miss Natalie.....

Natalie is very silly and serious at the same time! Has really become a daddy's girl within the past year. Very independant. She played basketball had fun, did great! Then we did soccer. Just finished. She had lots of fun. We have learned with her it's all about fun. She is like her daddy and isn't in it for the Win. :) She tought her momma to have patience and enjoy watching! She has made straight A's or A B Honor roll all year! Mom and Dad are so proud of her!

She was introduced to Just Dance on the Wii by her friend and loves the game. Just doesn't like to be beat by mom. She likes to have her time in her room being lazy on her loft bed.
Very loving girl!

Miss Bella

Little Miss Bella got to play soccer this spring. She really liked it. She wasn't thrilled to have to play with boys, as you can see in the pic. She did have lots of fun. Her coach was young and didn't have alot of experience with all the young kiddo's. At first they played 4 on 4 and she really liked it, but after a few games they started playing 6 or 8 at a time per team and she was overwelmed. Her next activity will be some sort of dance. :)

She got to have her 3rd birthday at Chuck E. Cheese with her friends and family. She had a blast! Got lots of goodies! Wasn't so much a fan of Chuckie up close and personal.

She is so silly. Makes me laugh daily! Loves to sing and dance! Loves to change clothes every hour. Has just started actually cleaning her room! Wants to go to school. Loves to help mom and dad cook as often as possible. She loves everyone!

Such a blessing and joy to be around!

Catchin Up!

Wow, how time flies and life as well. It's aparently been 7 months since I have posted. Honestly I forgot I had the account. Another friend of mine started blogging and I logged on to follow her. Then what do you know I found my own account. :)

I don't even know where to start. I could go back on facebook and copy all my posts from there onto here and then we would be caught up. That has been my lifeline to the world outside of church and the kids sports I do nothing. So facebook is like a phone call for me. It's how I get to connect to the world. More importantly connect to grown ups. Some says it's wasting time, but for me to get on for 10 minutes it's a connection. That way I don't go around talking like a 2 year old and singing toddler toons all day.

I can't post one long post so I will post updates on all the kiddo's on seperate posts throughout the day!

Enjoy our cRaaaZy life!

Magical Moments from Chicken Soup for the Soul

An insert that I read today and LOVED. Made me feel like my life is normal after all.

Enjoy!

"Maa-maaa!" My two-year-old daughter, Alex, called from her crib. I bounded up the stairs, excited to have the whole day to play with her. I was now, officially, a stay-at-home mom. Lucky enough to have the option, I'd made a tough decision and quit my job as a registered nurse.
"Ready for some fun?" I picked up Alex and gave her a tight squeeze, grateful to finally have the time to conquer all the "mommy-and-me" projects I'd collected from parenting magazines. I could never get to them on weekends, and I was ready to catch up. Alex and I would make animal masks out of paper plates in the morning and homemade Play-Doh in the afternoon. For lunch, I'd use cookie cutters to make edible figurines out of American cheese slices. After her nap, we'd make gift wrap using Alex's handprints. My life could finally be full of the magical moments I imagined filled up the days of stay-at-home mothers everywhere.
While singing nursery rhymes, I poured pancake batter into heart-shaped molds, a breakfast that literally showed my love. As I handed Alex her plate, I took a deep breath of satisfaction; she looked so sweet in her new dress and matching hair bow. The day was ours to enjoy. I turned my back for only a second and was shocked to turn back around to find Alex covered in syrup. I'd imagined pushing my princess through the grocery store in her new outfit, while white-haired ladies nodded approvingly over their shopping carts. The fantasy would have to wait. By the time I changed her clothes, cleaned up the breakfast mess, started the laundry, changed a stinky pull-up, and answered two phone calls, I was already way behind schedule. When would I have time to fit in my list of magical moments? On my way out the door, I noticed a note from my husband telling me to please Express Mail the important papers he'd left on his desk to our accountant. The note went on to say that he needed his shirts from the dry cleaners for tomorrow's business trip, and since I no longer worked and had the whole day, could I make his favorite pot roast for dinner?
I sighed. "Well, Alex. We better get moving."
The line at the post office was out the door with only one clerk on duty. Intrigued by all the packaging materials, Alex kept getting away from me to touch everything. I didn't see the harm until…crash! She knocked over a display of assorted envelopes. I sheepishly cleaned up the mess, thankful a nice man took pity on me and saved my place in line.
From there, we finally headed off to the dry cleaners, but Alex fell asleep in the car. I wanted to run in and leave her napping, but I sensed child abductors lurking everywhere and decided to just go home and let her sleep in peace.
As soon as I turned off the car engine, Alex's eyes shot open and she wailed out a tired cry. As I carried her into the house, I sobbed with her, my high expectations spilling out with my tears. What happened to our perfect day?
When did stay-at-home moms fit in all those quality child-parent activities? I wouldn't even let myself think about my other goals to commit to a regular exercise schedule and start an at-home business. I had really been clueless about this stay-at-home-mom stuff.
Hugging my precious daughter, we rocked and sniffled together. "You're my honey-bear," I whispered, feeling the weight of her sink into me. Her eyes gently shut, and I held her until she fell back asleep in my arms. I stroked the soft hair that curled above her neck and breathed in her smell, a mixture of sweat and maple syrup. Taking a deep breath, I relaxed for the first time that day. I was there with my daughter, forgetting about my to-do list, and it felt good.
Still, it took years for me to realize that such moments were the best and far surpassed the ones I tried to invent with heart-shaped pancakes or processed cheese sculptures. The less I tried to create life's magical moments, the more I was able to notice them when they naturally happened. And they were even more delicious as surprises.

Sometimes I honestly get so caught up in life, the many, many, many things to do in life that I don't see these things.

Like Bella, she is so independant. I don't even realize how much she just does herself. Even at times when I try to help her and she tells me she can do it herself, and then really does without incident.

Or Marcus, who most of the time is driving me batty, actually does something without me telling him to. I am so used to having to hover and tell him every move to make that sometimes I find I don't notice when he actually does it.

Natalie is so helpful. She is a little bossy but over all likes to help withour complaint. Sometimes she will come in and play with her little sister and brother and I will go off and start cleaning something and don't even recognize her for the help she is actually giving me.

My children are such a blessing. I thank God daily that he picked me to be in their lives.
